Donations

Well, I felt compelled to make a donations page explaining what the donations are for, so here goes nothing.

Donations or more accurately, bribes, to the Gravitytranslations team means a lot. But, it doesn’t mean extra chapters translated or quicker releases. What it means is your thanks for the previous and future translations.

Next, the perks!   No matter how little or how much you donate, only the thought matters so each donor gets a spot at the top of the next chapter (max of 5 donors per chapter, rest are rolled over to next chapter)! In addition, there’ll probably be some hall of fame for donors and detectives (Finds errors in chapters)! Also, probably the best perk of all, Gravitytranslations will be eternally grateful to you!

Finally, taking a page from Shi Luo Ye, the author of Zhan Long, “Your support is my greatest motivation!”

Thanks!

  1. Hi, after seeing the amount of views in your site I just want to ask why dont you put some advertises on the site?
I do believe that there are many people willing to donate (including me), but why not putting advertises? Some small ones on the top of the page or between the Blog Stats and the Follow blog via email would work like a charm! You could just put google ads and would have virtually no workm
    Just a suggestion…

    • Because that would be directly making money of someone elses work, which would probably lead to the site being shut down due to legal issues?

      • “Uhh, basically what happened was that I started translating and then halfway through Icarus copied all of the chapters and then started translation new chaps. He never responded to any my comments, even when I asked him to work together so that our chapters don’t overlap or take down the copied chapters that I never gave permission for. Personally, I’m willing to put away our differences but apparently Icarus isn’t”
Thought this would help you 🙂 A direct quote from gravitytranslation himself.

        • Hey there, thanks! Right now, we just got enough to cover the sever fees for a while so we’re not accepting any more donations. It’s not like I don’t want your money :P, but maybe a more traditional method of saying thanks would be your best option right now :P.

          Thanks,

  2. Oh! i saw in a BTTH chapter the question of “how to add notes to your donations”. There should be a button when confirming the donation with “instructions for the vendor” (might be a different word but my paypal is in dutch).
This button is generally meant to give additional information to vendors on how to package the order or whatever. But in these cases it is actually a greaaaaat way to add some motivational text or whatnot since you guys are doing a great job!

For other people who considder donating this is a good way to show your love and support (and lets be honest thats why we donate don’t we?).

    • And I could make a simple Epub for every 5 chapters as a bit of support. of course the team will also be noted at last page and including the link of the Site (www.gravitytranslations.com). And also only with your permission.
And no inclusion of any thing else that are not included to this site.

  4. You guys are doing pretty amazing. The quick pace of releases combined with the pure enjoyment I get out of reading Zhan Long and BTTH are worth donating to help continue supporting the ongoing translations of these 2 projects!
